Okay, so I’ll be the first to admit that this one is kinda lame. I’m tired, been busy and couldn’t put much effort into it. I promise tomorrow will be better.
Ramen, tuna, strawberries and tomatoes.

Today’s bento featured much of the same as yesterday’s: tamago, gyoza, corn, melon and rice.
For a real treat, check out my next post.

What’s the surprise? A brand new bento!
Today’s bento features a brand new usagi two compartment bento. Inside, rice, tamago, melon, corn, edamame, and gyoza.
And here’s the bento all put together.
And here’s the bento all wrapped up in its matching cloth bag. How kawaii!
Did I mention that this new bento matches a set of travel hashi I already own? Double kawaii!

This will be the last Bento this week, as we’re coming up on spring break. This bento was stuffed with gyoza, rice, peas and melon. I’ll try to be more creative after the break. I’m thinking some bento art. Maybe I’ll make her a food portrait of Sebastian Michaelis or a Totoro. ^-^

Tomorrow’s bento features chicken katsu, rice, and delicious fruit: grapes, strawberries, and melon (some of them are flower shaped!)
This bento is so colorful! It feels like spring, even if the current weather doesn’t.

Today I created melon flowers. They’re not hard or time consuming to make, but they will bring out a smile in someone special. Remember, bento making is an art form, and making a bento for someone is an act of love.
Tomorrow’s bento includes gyoza, peas, udon noodles in soy, sake, and mirin, and heart-shaped strawberries. See my other post on putting a little love in your bento. A little love goes a long way.
Making food into shapes like the strawberries seen here (hearts) can make the difference between a bland bento and a bento that brings out the smile in your loved one. If not every day, at least once a week, you should sneak in little surprises to make a bento lunch all that more special!
Today’s bento featured curry chicken and the last of the soba noodles. There will be no bento tomorrow as I’m pretty pooped. Looks like a cafeteria lunch tomorrow! (Bad Mom, bad!)
Yesterday’s bento consisted of gyoza, soba noodles with soy sauce, peas, carrots and melon.
